About Our Venue: Langelinie Pavillonen

Langelinie Pavillonen is more than just a beautiful venue—it’s a piece of Copenhagen’s living history. Built on former naval fortifications, the pavilion blends striking modernist architecture with iconic Danish design elements like Poul Henningsen’s Artichoke lamp and Verner Panton’s bold interiors. It has even played host to milestones such as the founding of the International Canoe Federation in 1924. Today, the venue continues to honor its heritage while embracing sustainability, sourcing local and organic ingredients, minimizing waste, and prioritizing eco-friendly operations.

What to wear in Copenhagen in January

In January, Copenhagen is cold, windy, and overcast, with the daily temperature being approximately  0.7°C (33.3°F). We recommend dressing in layers and packing a cotton or wool base layer, a few sweaters or fleeces, windproof and waterproof jacket. You may also want to bring a warm hat, scarf, and gloves.

The dress code is business casual during the day and semi-formal for the Awards Dinner.

Here are some tips to pack light while staying warm:

  1. Choose versatile layers and a cohesive color palette so that every piece works together.
  2. Wear your bulkiest items on travel days to save space in your luggage.
  3. Pack smart accessories.
  4. Use packing cubes or compression bags to organize and reduce volume.
  5. Prioritize warmth over quantity.
